Get Ready! BRI Agrees To Distribute IDR 51.73 Trillion Dividend And Buy Back IDR 3 T

JAKARTA - The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) decided to distribute dividends of IDR 51.73 trillion.

This figure increased compared to the dividends paid in 2024 of IDR 48.10 trillion.

In addition, BRI will also buy back (buyback) shares in the amount of IDR 3 trillion.

BRI Corporate Secretary Agustya Hendy Bernadi said, for the 2024 financial year, BRI recorded a consolidated net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of IDR 60.15 trillion.

Of this amount, the company determined the total cash dividends distributed to reach IDR 51.73 trillion.

For the dividend value, previously on January 15, 2025, BRI had distributed interim dividends of IDR 20.33 trillion or IDR 135 per share.

"Thus, the remaining dividend to be paid is IDR 31.40 trillion," he said in a statement to the media, Monday, March 24.

Of the total cash dividend value above, BRI deposited dividends to the state of Rp27.68 trillion, including the interim dividends that have been distributed on January 15, 2025, amounting to Rp10.88 trillion.

While the rest is paid proportionally to each shareholder whose name is recorded in the Register of Shareholders on the date of recording date.

Hendy emphasized that in taking into account dividend payments, the company has considered various aspects, one of which is the company's strong capital structure and sufficient liquidity for business expansion and risk mitigation of bank management, including the Company's CAR which is projected to be maintained above 19 percent in the long term.

Buyback Plan

In addition to dividend distribution, the 2025 BRI AGMS also approved BRI's plan to make a share buyback of IDR 3 trillion.

Buyback is carried out through the Stock Exchange and outside the Stock Exchange, both in stages and at the same time, and is completed no later than 12 (twelve) months after the AGMS date.

"This step was taken as part of the company's strategy to increase the value of shareholders and support the stock ownership program for employees," said Hendy.
