Jakmania Convoy, Deputy Governor Of DKI: We Understand The Pleasure Of Young Children, But We Regret The Crowd
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to the Jakmania convoy celebrating Persija Jakarta's victory in the Menpora Cup.
Riza understands that the citizens of DKI are proud of the victory of Persija to beat Persib Bandung. However, he regretted that there was a crowd in the convoy. Because, currently it is still in a pandemic state of COVID-19.
"Of course we understand, the joy of the younger siblings and residents who want to express their pride that Persija can win. However, we are very concerned and regretful that a large number of crowds have occurred, not even a few who do not wear masks," said Riza at the City Hall of DKI. , Central Jakarta, Monday, April 26.
Although he also feels proud of Persija Jakarta's victory, this Gerindra politician hopes that there will be no more crowd-led victory celebrations. Because, this can increase cases of COVID-19.
"Hopefully this kind of activity will not be repeated in the following years, even though we are in an atmosphere of gratitude for the victory. We ask that all residents of Jakarata, whoever they be, continue to implement health protocols," he said.
Riza handed over the crowd case to the COVID-19 Task Force who looked in detail at the causes of the crowd that occurred on Jalan MH Thamrin to the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout.
"Is there mobilization, is it intentional, we leave it to the task force which will check and evaluate. Then what is delivered, we will wait," he said.
Last night, a number of Persija Jakarta supporters carried out a convoy on Jalan MH Thamrin towards the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout, Central Jakarta. The convoy was held to celebrate Persija's victory over the Menpora Cup.
These Jakmanias packed a section of Jalan MH Thamrin, unfurling banners and wearing various Persija attributes. Some of them are not wearing masks.
The Jakmania Central Board apologized for the euphoria of the convoy crowd after Persija Jakarta won the Menpora Cup 2021.
The Jakmania central management emphasized that they had never instructed members to carry out any convoys or celebrations that were excessive, let alone violating established health protocols.
"Hopefully this will be a lesson for all of us so that in the future we can protect our city together while still prioritizing the prokes that have been determined. We also hope that the Jakmania's euphoric spontaneous action on Sunday night will not cause things that we do not want, there will be no spread of the pandemic and all will always be healthy and under the protection of Allah SWT, "said the Jakmania central management in a written statement which was also uploaded via infokomjakmania Instagram account.
