Tools For Humanity Establish Cooperation With The Ministry Of Investment And Downstreaming/BKPM
JAKARTA - Tools for Humanity (TFH), a global technology company that develops digital solutions to verify the authenticity and uniqueness of individuals, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM.
Through this collaboration, TFH plans to produce Orbs in Indonesia, namely a special device that plays a role in creating digital identity (known as World ID) which allows individuals to verify their authenticity and uniqueness safely and anonymously in the digital world.
This initiative is in line with the Indonesian government's priority to utilize AI in various sectors, while prioritizing strict privacy and data protection, in accordance with the 2020-2045 Artificial Intelligence National Strategy.
"We welcome the plan of Tools for Humanity to develop its facilities in Indonesia because it not only brings quality investment, but also strengthens Indonesia's capabilities in the digital landscape," said Todotua Pasaribu, Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of BKPM.
This collaboration is expected to accelerate digital transformation, and minimize AI-based manipulation, such as identity counterfeiting and massive deepfakes.
Meanwhile, Chief Legal and Privacy Officer Tools for Humanity, Damien Kieran, reaffirmed TFH's commitment to Indonesia which plays a key role in AI's advancement and secure digital identity solutions.

With the signing of this MoU, TFH, supported by the Indonesian government, will begin exploring further steps for investment in Orb assembly in the country, including eligibility assessments, regulatory discussions, and potential partnerships with local manufacturing.
