Lewis Hamilton And Charles Leclerc Disqualified From China GP F1

JAKARTA - Ferrari racer Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified from China's GP taking place at Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, Sunday.

Hamilton was convicted of violating the thickness of his rear block under the provisions, while Leclerc was disqualified for a gross violation of the car.

"During the team representative hearing, it confirmed that the measurements were correct and that all necessary procedures were carried out correctly. The team also acknowledged that there was no decreasing situation and that this was a real mistake by the team," Formula 1 wrote Sunday.

"The jury's board ruled that Article 3.5.9 of the FIA Formula 1 Regulation has been violated and therefore the standard punishment of disqualification needs to be applied for such violations," Formula 1 wrote, quoted by ANTARA.

Previously, Hamilton's team made a report stating that the thickness of the car board was at 8.6 mm or below the minimum threshold of 9 mm which violated Article 3.5.9 of engineering regulations.

A similar fate was also experienced by Leclerc who noted that his SF25 weighs 1 kg below the minimum weight, resulting in his disqualification.

This disqualification is also a nightmare for the Italian factory team after previously Hamilton was able to record a victory in the sprint race at the Chinese GP.

With the qualifying of the Ferrari doubles, Esteban Ocon, Kimi Antonelli, Alex Albon and capislative Bearman, who have finished seventh to ten, were each promoted to two positions.

While Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz also picked up points by moving to the top ten, given that Gasly was also disqualified from P11.
