Telkomsel Prepares 200 BTS 5G At 481 Mbps In Surabaya For RAFI 2025
Welcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2025, Telkomsel ensures network readiness through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to map 155 crowded points in Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, to Nusa Tenggara.
In addition, Telkomsel is also expanding its 5G coverage in Surabaya, by adding up to 50 new 5G BTS, thus reaching a total of more than 90 BTS 5G at Juanda International Airport, the Central Business District area, shopping centers, residential areas, and the campus environment.
As for post-Eid Al-Fitr, Telkomsel will continue to accelerate the deployment of this Hyper 5G until it reaches a total of more than 200 BTS 5G, and in the future it will continue to expand its coverage gradually in Surabaya.
Malelui expands the Hyper 5G network in this region, download speeds can reach up to 481 Mbps, while upload speeds can penetrate 87 Mbps.
Previously, Telkomsel had also accelerated the expansion of the Hyper 5G network in Bali, ensuring the presence of high-speed internet connectivity with a total of 236 BTS 5G in Denpasar and Badung to support the growth of the digital economy and local tourism.

With this addition, Telkomsel now operates more than 2,250 BTS 5G in 56 cities/districts throughout Indonesia.
Telkomsel will also continue to expand the Hyper 5G in stages, directed, and measurable, while still considering the readiness of the 5G ecosystem, in order to support the acceleration of digital transformation in Indonesia.
