Update On COVID-19 As Of April 26: New Cases Of 6,243, Recovering, Increasing 6,689 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 51,878 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 5,944 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,647,138 people and 100,652 active cases," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Monday, April 26.
Cases recovered today increased by 5,589 cases, so that a total of 1,501,715 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 177 people and the total was 44,771 people.
The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 1,941 cases and a total of 276,389 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 749 new cases with a total of 405,812 cases. Central Java has 646 new cases and a total of 182,673 cases. Then, Riau has 614 new cases and a total of 42,315 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,339 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 835 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 664 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 489 recovered cases.
There are 4 provinces that reported no new cases today. Provinces that reported zero new cases were West Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, Maluku and North Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 14,316,489.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate was 18.20 percent," he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 68,297 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Furthermore, there are currently 11,844,579 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 6,998,304 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,051 people.
