Haru Mega Dian's Tears, Recalls Her Husband In Nanggala-402, 'My Husband Is Calm With Allah'

JAKARTA - Mega Dian Pratiwi's tears broke out, unable to hold back the sadness of being left by her husband, Serda Ede Pandu Yudha Kusuma, one of the crew members of the KRI Nanggala-402 ship.

The shoulders of Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani Azwar Anas were hugged by Mega. "My husband is calm with Allah, ma'am," said Mega Dian Pratiwi, sobbing.

Regent Iput Fiestiandani then returned Mega's hug and agreed to her prayers. "Aamiin ... Aamiin ... Insyaallah Mas Pandu is a martyr, a martyr, a martyr. Patience, sincerity, Ma'am," he said.

Monday, April 26 today, the Regent of Ipuk and the Commander of the Banyuwangi Navy Base (Lanal), Marine Lt. Col. Eros Wasis, visited the families of two KRI Nanggala-402 crew members to convey their condolences.

Before the Regent of Ipuk, Mega told me that on Wednesday, 21 April dawn, her husband still had time to send a short message. "Mas Pandu said goodbye to sailing, asked for prayers so that it would run smoothly. After that his cellphone could not be contacted," he said.

The Regent of Ipuk with Danlanal Banyuwangi and his wife tried to calm Serda Ede Pandu's family. They talk to strengthen each other.

Serda Ede Pandu is one of 53 crew members of a German-made submarine who lost contact during a shooting exercise in Balinese waters on April 21, 2021 and was later declared drowned.

The TNI leader stated that the entire crew of the KRI Nanggala-402 died while carrying out their duties.

From the house of Ede Pandu Yudha's family, the Regent of Ipuk headed to the residence of Sertu Dedi and met Fitri Arumsari, Dedi's wife. As soon as she saw Ipuk, Fitri immediately fell on Ipuk's shoulder while sobbing with tears. "He is our favorite child, our pride. Pray for our child, ma'am," said Haniyah, the mother of Sertu Dedi.

Ipuk hugs Fitri and Haniyah. The three of them dissolved in emotion. Sobs filled the room in the Sertu Dedi family's house.

"Mas Pandu and Mas Dedi are Banyuwangi residents. He is not only the pride of the family, not only the pride of Mbak Mega, not only the pride of Mbak Fitri, but the pride of Banyuwangi and Indonesia," said the Regent.

Ipuk stated that he was ready to support the needs of Serda Ede Pandu Yudha and Sertu Dedi's family in the face of difficult times. If needed, the relevant agencies are ready to send psychologists to assist their family recovery.

Mega Dian Pratiwi, wife of Serda Ede Pandu Yudha Kusuma, is an apprentice midwife at the Klatak Health Center, Kalipuro District. Meanwhile Fitriah, wife of Sertu Dedi, served as an honorary teacher at Pakis State Elementary School before following her husband's assignment to Surabaya.

Ipuk also said that the Banyuwangi Regency Government is trying to give priority to the families of two KRI Nanggala-402 crew members from Banyuwangi to participate in the selection of government employees with a work agreement (PPPK) next year.

The Banyuwangi Regent said that he had instructed the relevant agencies to help the families of the two KRI Nanggala-402 crew members. The effort to include them in the selection of government employees with a work agreement next year, according to Ipuk, is a form of appreciation for the services of the two Kencana Shark warriors.

However, he acknowledged that the facilities provided by the regency government would not be comparable to the sincere dedication of these Indonesian Navy soldiers to the nation.

Danlanal Banyuwangi Marine Lt. Col. (P) Eros Wasis said that special assistance and attention would be given to the families of Serda Pandu and Sertu Dedi.

The Indonesian Navy, especially Lanal Banyuwangi, according to him, was ready to guide Serda Pandu's family to succeed in becoming a Navy soldier because Serda Pandu advised his brother-in-law to join the Navy Corps.

"Lanal Banyuwangi will accompany, God willing, until he successfully becomes the Navy, replacing the deceased," said Lt. Col. Eros after visiting the families of Serda Pandu and Sertu Dedi.

A number of figures who understand religious knowledge believe that the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402 died under the status of martyrdom.
