A Number Of New Models VinFast Will Enter Indonesia Next Year, Anything?

JAKARTA - Automotive manufacturer from Vietnam, VinFast has officially entered the Indonesian market since last year by showing off all EV products, with two of them having sold VF 5 and VF e34 at affordable prices.

The breakthrough did not stop there, VinFast also launched VF 3 for the national market through the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 in February. The electric car is positioned as an entry-level vehicle for the Indonesian market.

Just launching two models does not make the company complacent. The manufacturer, which was founded in 2017, intends to expand the model line for Indonesian consumers.

VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau said it would launch other new models such as VF 6, VF 7, as well as one other model with a capacity of seven passengers.

"Next year we will present VF6 and VF7, as well as another model with a 7-SEATER configuration," said Pham Sanh Chau when met by the media in the Setiabudi area, Jakarta, Thursday, March 20.

Pham Sanh Chau reasoned that VinFast presented seven passengers' vehicles because this type of car was the most popular compared to other segments.

"We know that 7-SEATER cars are the most popular vehicles in Indonesia," he added.

Meskipun demikian, ia menambahkan pihaknya juga akan berfokus pada penjualan tiga model yang telah diluncurkan sebelumnya di Indonesia dan segera memproduksinya secara lokal di pabrik ber wilayah Subang, Jawa Barat.

"Currently we are focusing on the VF 5 model, VF e34, and most recently VF 3 and will produce it locally," he explained.

VinFast VF 6 is a subcompact SUV positioned in the B-segment which is currently only present in the home market itself.

The car is offered with a 59.6 kWh battery configuration which is able to provide a distance of up to 399 km according to WLTP. In Vietnam, VF 6 is offered in two driving variants, namely Eco with a power of 170 cellphones and Plus up to 200 cellphones.

Meanwhile, VF 7 is a big brother of VF 6 who is placed in C-segment by offering a more spacious dimension. Not only dimensions bigger, this one car is offered with a 75.3 kWh battery which is claimed to provide a distance of up to 450 km.

VinFast VF 7 comes with two different drivers, namely Eco FWD with an electric motorbike powered by 201 hp and Plus AWD which has up to 349 hp.
