The TNI Case Of Shooting 3 Police In Lampung: 13 Bullet Shells From 5.56 To 9 Mm
JAKARTA - Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika stated that he had conducted a crime scene (TKP) in handling the death of three police officers because he was shot by TNI members during a chickenfighting raid. As a result, 13 bullet casings were found.
"The total number of cartridges is 13 bullet casings," said Helmy at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Wednesday, March 19.
The dozens of casings are of different sizes. In detail, eight grains of 5.56 mm caliber; three grains with a caliber of 7.62 mm; and two 9 mm caliber pills.
The bullet casing was found in a clumpy condition at two points.
"From the results of the crime scene, several bullet casings were found that clustered. So there are two places that group other places that are indeed separated," he said.
The selongsong has also been handed over to the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) team for further investigation. The goal is to ensure the type of firearm (senpi) used by the TNI members.
"We have prepared everything from the administration of the investigation and have sent it to the laboratory for inspection," he said.
Based on the confession of the TNI personnel, the shooting was carried out using homemade rifles.
It is known that the two members of the soldier had surrendered shortly after the shooting that killed the three police officers.
"Then also carried out shootings and carrying firearms. However, they were delivered homemade firearms," said Helmy.

In addition, from the statements of dozens of witnesses who had been examined, TNI officers fired long-barreled rifles. Shooting with an estimated distance of 5 to 13 meters.
"Of the 13 people, there were four witnesses who in the statement saw the person shooting using a long-barreled weapon," said Helmy.
The shooting took place when the police raided the practice of cockfighting gambling in Karang Manik Village, Batin State District, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung, on Monday, February 17.
During the raid, the two soldiers carried out the shooting, causing three policemen to die.
The three policemen who died as a result of the shooting were AKP (posthumous) Lusiyanto, Aipda (posthumous) Petrus Apriyanto and Brigadier M Ghalib Surya Ganta.
