Bali Police Urges Residents To Avoid Homecoming On March 28
DENPASAR - Bali Regional Police appealed to the public to avoid Eid homecoming on March 28, 2025 in connection with various traditional and religious ceremonies in this province.
Head of the Ketupat Agung Operations Public Relations Task Force 2025 Kombes Ariasandy said that on that date along the Denpasar-Gilimanuk route or throughout Bali, there will be many taur eksangat ceremonies, crackers, and ogoh-ogoh parades which are Hindu traditions in order to welcome the Nyepi Day series.
The ceremony will use road bodies and road intersections.
"There must be a diversion of the flow and causing disturbances to the kamseltibcarlantas such as traffic jams," said Kombes Ariasandy, Wednesday, March 19.
Moreover, he continued, preparations for the ceremony by religious leaders and Balinese people began at around 13.00 WITA. The appeal is in accordance with the 2025 Joint Decree (SKB).
One of the joint decisions regulates transportation operations, either out or in, to Bali Island. On March 28, 2025 starting at 06.00 WITA, all goods or trucks are not allowed to operate from Denpasar to Gilimanuk.
"Trucks are allowed to resume operations starting March 30, 06.00 WITA after Nyepi implementation," he said.
Officers will block truck vehicles at terminal/parking points such as Cargo Uma Ayar, Mengwi Terminal, Tabanan Terminal, and Kaliakah Terminal.
For the partition from the direction of Buleleng, it will be carried out at Celukan Bawang Pier and Labuan Lalang Pier.
For people who exceed the deadline until March 29 at 06.00 WITA (during the implementation of Nyepi), said Kombes Pol. Ariasandy, a resting location has been prepared to stop all Nyepi activities.
The locations that have been prepared are at all the nearest police, mosque and terminal offices in Jembrana Regency.
In addition, PTAGkutan Sungai, Lake, and Crossing (Persero) closed the crossing at Ketapang Pier, Banyuwangi, East Java, on March 28 starting at 17.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the crossing at Gilimanuk Pier, Jembrana Bali will be closed on March 29 starting at 05.00 WITA.
"Don't forget to obey traffic regulations and always prioritize safety when driving. Don't bring excessive goods that can endanger travel and check vehicle conditions, including STNK and SIM, before traveling," said the former Head of Public Relations of NTT.
