Three Orang Warga Alami Luka Bakar Akibat Semburan Gas Di Cempaka Putih
JAKARTA - Three people suffered burns due to a gas explosion that occurred in a rented house, Jalan Percetakan Negara II, RT 01/05, Rawasari, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, March 19.
According to residents' information, the incident began to occur due to a gas leak and then an electrical short circuit caused a fire.
"There was a leak that caused an explosion and fire. Three people were burned, 1 man and 2 women," said Mirna, a local resident.
The three victims were then taken to Abdul Radjak Hospital and the Johar Baru District Health Center for intensive care.
Meanwhile, the flames that had occurred in the house were successfully extinguished by residents, not spreading to other houses.
Based on the testimony of a witness named Fidel, the incident occurred while he was asleep. Then he woke up because he heard a rumbling sound.
"There was a sound of collapsing, I checked here that someone shouted a fire. I ran up to the fire from below, it would automatically spread upwards so that the fire was already above," he said.
Fidel and several of his friends then rushed to get water using buckets to extinguish the fire. But he did not know where the fire came from.

"Earlier, information from the fire department analysis, there was a boarding house triggered by a leaking gas cylinder resulting in sparks and explosions," he said.
In addition to the 3 injured victims, the ceiling of the rented house also collapsed. The burned area is 5 x 7 meters. The loss is still in the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the Central Jakarta Metro Police Inafis team conducted a crime scene (TKP) at the explosion site.
Officers conducted a crime scene investigation to find the exact cause of the fire that occurred. After the crime scene was processed, police officers installed a police line at the scene.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police, AKP Yossy Januar, confirmed the fire incident. However, Kanit denied that there was an explosion sound as stated by residents.
"There was no sound of explosion, not (gas explosion). The cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. The victim suffered burns," he said when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, March 19.
