Wes Anderson's Latest Film, The French Dispatch, Will Premiere In Cannes

JAKARTA - Director Wes Anderson's latest film, The French Dispatch, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Launching Variety today, Monday, April 26, Thierry Frémaux from Cannes confirmed the news.

The French Dispatch is a film that tells a collection of stories about the making of the last issue of magazines in the 20th century.

Divided into three parts, this film also played Benicia del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Lea Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothee Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.

This film has been delayed in screening since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The French Dispatch is Wes Anderson's newest work after the Isle of Dogs in 2018.

Apart from The French Dispatch, Paul Verhoeven's Benedetta's film was also shown at the Cannes film festival.

Cannes will hold an Official Selection on May 27 before starting the event on July 6.
