Actress Lee El Allegedly Defending The Late Kim Sae Ron In The Midst Of A Controversy With Kim Soo Hyun
JAKARTA - Lee El has spoken out against criticism directed at the late Kim Sae Ron. On March 17 KST, Lee El wrote on his X-social media. "A 9-year-old child is just a child who is pushed into this industry by his parents, and a 15-year-old child is suddenly treated as if they know everything and are labeled as a gold digger?" Lee El wrote quoted by VOI from X @2L_ibnida, Tuesday, March 18. Although Lee El did not explain his context, his statement is believed to be a response to public negative sentiment towards Kim Sae Ron following recent accusations. Previously, Kim Sae Ron's family claimed that he had been in a relationship with actor Kim Soo Hyun since he was a minor, causing concern about the occurrence of rooming practices. However, Kim Soo Hyun's agency firmly denied the allegations, and stated that the allegations were 'completely untrue'. Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron was found dead at his residence in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16 at the age of 25. On March, family legal representative, Bu Ji Seok of the Buyu Law Firma, filed a defamation lawsuit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against a YouTuber, who is a former entertainment journalist, for spreading false information.

The family legal team stated, "Initially, we hope Kim Soo Hyun recognizes their relationship to refute the false claims made by the YouTuber. However, his repeated denials only deepen the family's pain. We now expect a sincere apology," said Mrs. Ji Seok. They also accused, "After Kim Soo Hyun's agency sent her the first warning letter, Kim Sae Ron sent a short message to him, asking for help. Instead of responding directly, he ignored it and asked his agency to send a second warning letter," he said.
