Motorbike Travelers Crossing Roads In Karawang Targeted To Be Completed March 20

JAKARTA - Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh ensured that the repair of alternative lanes or special lanes for motorbikes during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming season in the Karawang Regency area could be completed on time.

"The road improvement along the alternative route is still being carried out. God willing, on March 20, 2025, it will be completed," said the regent in Karawang, Tuesday, March 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

He ensured that the repair of the alternative Lebaran homecoming route in the Karawang area would be completed on time, so that it could be used during the Eid homecoming season later.

The highway in Karawang, which is an alternative route, includes the Tanjungpura, Johar, Application, Telagasari, Wadas, Cilamaya, Krasak, Cikalong highways and penetrates the regional Pantura route.

"The damage or hole along the road is still being repaired. Repair activities are certainly a priority," he said.

For damage at other homecoming points with provincial road status in the Karawang area such as the Badami-Loji, Curug-Kosambi, and Cikampek-Cikalong routes, repairs were also carried out.

The Regent admitted that he had coordinated with the West Java Provincial Government regarding the improvement of the provincial road. It is certain that these routes are in good condition during the Eid homecoming season later.

"Coordination has been carried out, to ensure that the repair of the route is completed immediately before March 25, 2025. If at that time the road is still found damaged, we will coordinate again to carry out the handling," he said.

The Karawang Regency Government previously held cross-sectoral coordination meetings related to the security of Lebaran 2025. This was done as part of an effort to prepare for the security of the Lebaran 2025 homecoming season.
