It Was Revealed That The Rizieq Shihab Islamic Boarding School Did Not Yet Have A Permit From The Ministry Of Religion

JAKARTA - Head of Administration Sub-Division of the Ministry of Religion, Bogor Regency, HA Sihabudin, said that Rizieq Shihab's Argocultural Markaz Islamic Boarding School has not been registered at the Ministry of Religion.

This statement was conveyed by Sihabudin when testifying at the trial of the alleged period and violation of the health protocol in Megamendung with the defendant Rizeq Shihab.

Initially, the public prosecutor questioned Sihabudin about the conditions that must be met if he wanted to build an Islamic boarding school.

The witness also answered that apart from the administrative requirements, Islamic boarding schools must have facilities and applicable rules.

"Islamic boarding schools can be allowed related to the administration, secondly, there is institutional fulfillment, there is a boarding school leader, there is a minimum penalty of 15, there is a dormitory, there is a book to be studied, there is a mosque. Also, the administration of the application from the leadership then attaches the foundation's file, then the domicile, the recommendation of the head of the KUA (religious Affairs office), displays a profile", said Sihabudin during a trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Monday, April 26.

Hearing this answer, the prosecutor then again questioned the number of registered Islamic boarding schools in Bogor Regency.

"Based on data from the Regency Ministry of Religion, how many Islamic boarding schools are there in the Regency?", asked the prosecutor.

"For the number of boarding schools that are included in the database is 1,339", answered Shihabudin.

"Do everyone have a permit?", asked the prosecutor again.

"It has fulfilled the permit", said Sihabudin.

Then, the prosecutor offended and questioned Sihabudin about whether or not the Islamic Markaz Islamic Boarding School was registered or not, which belongs to Rizieq Shihab.

"As I initially said, I have not registered yet", he said.

Meanwhile, in the case of the Megamendung crowd, Rizieq was charged with violating the Health Quarantine Law and was denied the prevention of the COVID-19 outbreak due to a crowd of sympathizers in Megamendung, Bogor Regency on November 13.

He was also charged with violating Article 216 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code because he deliberately did not follow the rules of the authorities regarding the implementation of the Law.
