Teuku Wisnu And Shireen Sungkar Had Different Opinions About Teaching Fasting To Children
JAKARTA - Teaching children to fast does require the right approach so that they can worship with full awareness and enthusiasm. Teuku Wisnu and Shireen Sungkar share the methods they apply in guiding their children to fast in the month of Ramadan.
"The most fasting rate is in the fasting month, right. Because thank God the children are still studying until now. Thank God, this year, God will make it easier," said Teuku Wisnu in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Monday, March 17.
According to Wisnu, he and Shireen chose to use the reward method to motivate their children. Despite differences of opinion on this method, they stick to the decision to reward them as a form of support.
"We take the method with rewards, if we can achieve something, even though there are different opinions regarding this matter, we only take opinions that we give rewards, especially are still children," said Teuku Wisnu.
Wisnu also explained that the concept of reward has actually been applied in the life of worship, where humans are trying to get a reward from Allah for their deeds.
"We also do worship, for example, the reward is to get a reward. That's why we think we have tried it by giving rewards to children," he said.

However, Shireen emphasized that they still instill an understanding that the greatest gift in worship comes from God.
"But we still always instill a big reward from Allah, son, we will keep that story before the reward is from us," explained Shireen Sungkar.
