The Atmosphere Of The Kalideres Terminal Is Still Normal, The Surge In Homecomers Is Predicted To Start Next Week

The atmosphere at Kalideres Terminal, West Jakarta, still looks normal and deserted on Monday, March 17, 2025. Activities at the terminal, which is usually the main departure point for travelers, have not shown a significant spike.

According to the Head of the Kalideres City Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, the homecoming flow is predicted to only increase starting Friday, March 21, 2025 or next week.

"Today is still normal as usual, there has been no increase. The homecoming flow is predicted to start on Friday, March 21, 2025, tomorrow," Revi said when confirmed by VOI on Monday, March 17.

As a preparation measure for the surge in travelers, the integrated command posts will start operating simultaneously on Friday. The posts established include health posts, integrated security posts, and ramp checks to ensure vehicle safety. All posts will start operating Friday, March 21, 2025," added Revi.

Meanwhile, the homecoming destinations departing from Kalideres Terminal every year are still dominated by the regions of Central Java and Sumatra.

"If you go to Sumatra, the most travelers go to Padang and Palembang. If you go to Java, you go to Central Java," explained Revi.

Homecomers who want to return to their hometowns are expected to take advantage of the integrated posts provided to ensure their journey is safe and comfortable.

With the prediction of an imminent spike, Kalideres Terminal is ready to anticipate an increase in the number of passengers in the next few days.
