IPhone 17 Air Is Priced At IDR 14.6 Million, Super Thin Design, Awet Battery, But There Are Features That Have Been Removed
The well-known leaker Mark Gurman from Bloomberg Sunday, March 16, shared some of the latest details regarding the iPhone 17 Air, which is currently being discussed in the smartphone world.
In the Power On bulletin, Gurman revealed that the iPhone 17 Air is likely to be sold at prices starting from $899 (IDR 14.6 million) in the US. If true, this price will be on par with the iPhone 16 Plus, which further strengthens speculation that the Air model will replace the position of the Plus variant in the latest iPhone lineup.
Although the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to have a very thin and lightweight design, Gurman says that its battery life is equivalent to today's iPhone. It does not mention specific models, but is likely at least equivalent to the basic iPhone 16 variant. If true, this is a surprising achievement given its slimmer design.
Apple is said to have carried out various hardware and software optimizations to increase power efficiency on the iPhone 17 Air. There are three main factors that are suspected of contributing to this increase in battery life, namely:
- A higher-density battery- A power-efficient C1 modem from Apple- The absence of an Ultra Wide camera, which provides more internal space for larger-capacity batteries
Camera Control Features And Tipis Bezel Design
Gurman also revealed that the iPhone 17 Air will be equipped with the Camera Control button, which was first introduced on the iPhone 16 line 16 last year. This button allows fast access to the camera and settings, although some users find this feature annoying and prefer to disable it.

In addition, the bezel or screen frame of the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be as thin as a bezel on the iPhone 16 Pro, providing a more modern and premium look.
Several other specifications from the previously circulated iPhone 17 Air and re-confirmed by Gurman include:
- 6.6-inch screen with support for 120Hz ProMotion- Dynamic Island- Standard A19 Chip, not the A19 Pro-Single rear camera 48 MP-Podem C1 made by Apple- Without physical SIM card slots worldwide
With these improvements, the iPhone 17 Air looks set to be one of Apple's most exciting devices to launch this year.
