Arsenal Beat Chelsea 1-0 Thanks To Mikel Merino's Single Goal
JAKARTA - Mikel Merino's single goal led Arsenal to beat Chelsea with a narrow score of 1-0 in the 29th week of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium, London, Sunday night.
Mikel Merino scored Arsenal's winning goal against Chelsea after receiving Martin Odegaard's pass when the game was running for about 20 minutes, quoted from Antara.
Thanks to this victory, Arsenal are still in second place in the Premier League standings with 58 points from 29 matches, 12 points adrift of Liverpool in first place.
On the other hand, Chelsea are still stuck in fourth place in the Premier League standings by collecting 49 points from 29 matches, one point ahead of Manchester City in fifth place.
Statistically Arsenal appeared more clinically by releasing 12 of them on target, while Chelsea were ahead of possession through 59 percent.
Arsenal immediately demonstrated an attacking game when the game started and had threatened through Gabriel Martinelli's kick which Chelsea goalkeeper Roberto Sanchez was still able to secure.

Entering the second half, Arsenal again displayed an attacking game and created an opportunity through Merino's kick which Sanchez could still block.
