KAI Adds Railway Fleet To K Solo Route Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr 2025

JAKARTA - Welcoming the 2025 Eid homecoming flow, PT KAI Daop 6 has prepared four additional trains for the Solo route.

Public Relations Manager of Daop 6 Yogyakarta Feni Novida Saragih in Solo, Central Java, Sunday said the four additional trains were two additional Lodaya trains, one additional Bativa train, and one additional Solo-Pasar Senen train.

He said the additional train series had an average capacity of 1,600 passengers every day.

The additional train will be operated in the Daop 6 area during the 2025 Eid Transport period which starts on March 21-April 11.

"During the Eid 2025 transportation period, Daop 6 Yogyakarta will operate 36 trains, consisting of 25 regular trains and eleven additional trains departing early from stations in our area," he quoted ANTARA as saying on Sunday, March 16.

Meanwhile, until yesterday, tickets that had been sold for travel during the Eid transportation period had reached 56 percent.

"This 56 percent or 225,000 tickets. In particular, the departure from Solo Racing Station was recorded at around 36,000 tickets," he said.

To ensure that they can depart according to schedule, his party appealed to customers to immediately order tickets.

"For customers who have not received tickets according to the desired departure date, they should consider alternative travel schedules to increase the opportunity to get tickets," he said.
