Breaking New Records, Cavaliers Record Club's Longest Anniversary Victory
JAKARTA - The Cleveland Cavaliers broke the record for the longest consecutive victory in the club's history by recording their 16th straight win after beating the Memphiszzlies with a score of 133-124 on Saturday WIB.
Citing statistics on the NBA website, Evan Mobley performed brilliantly by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Darius Garland added 20 points and nine assists to get Cavaliers past their previous best, which was 15 straight wins.
In addition, Cavaliers also extended their away winning record to 11 consecutive matches, which is the best record in team history and the NBA's longest record since the Los Angeles Lakers won 14 consecutive away wins in 2019.
De'Andre Hunter also contributed 18 points in this win, while Jarrett Allen added 16 points. Cavaliers also continued to show sharpness of attack by scoring at least 105 points in their last 16 matches, a record that the Lakers could only rival in the 1971-72 season.
On the other hand, Grizzlies made a tremendous contribution from Ja Morant who posted 44 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. However, Morant's slick performance was not enough to prevent his team from losing, especially Memphis's difficulty in firing accuracy throughout the match.
Cavaliers began to move away in the second quarter with a rate of 23-9 which began with Morant's error, resulting in an opportunity for Javonte Green. Green failed to complete the layoffs as a result of being violated by Jaren Jackson Jr, who was finally declared a flagrant 1 violation.
This situation further benefited Cavaliers after they increased their lead to 56-39.

With this victory, Cavaliers are getting stronger at the top of the Eastern Region standings and recorded their 26th away win of the season, matching the second best achievement in the club's history previously achieved in the 2009-2010 season.
