Reviewing The Trans Sumatra Toll Road, The Deputy Minister Of Public Works Wants This Ahead Of The Lebaran Homecoming Flow

Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti reviewed the infrastructure readiness of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) to deal with the homecoming flow and the 2025 Eid flow, Friday, March 14.

The review was carried out on the Bakauheni Toll Road, Terbanggi Besar, Panggang Leader, Kayu Agung, Palembang.

During the review, Diana said that the presence of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road attracted the travelers' interest in carrying private vehicles even though there were several sections that were not connected.

"We continue to pay attention to the safety of travelers according to the spirit of "Homecoming Calm, Fun". Happy with family, car and calm because the infrastructure supports safety," Diana said as quoted from her written statement, Saturday, March 15.

According to Diana, one of the efforts to support safety is to make improvements to potholes or damaged toll roads.

He also appealed that the road repairs carried out by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) could be completed on D-10 Lebaran.

"I ask that the potholed road be handled immediately and all work can be completed on D-10 Lebaran so as not to interfere with the flow of homecoming," he said.

In addition, Diana highlighted the rest area's readiness to welcome the flow of homecoming and back to Lebaran 2025. She requested that toilets in rest areas remain clean and water availability. "Although capacity increases, service remains the main priority," he said.

Then, he also highlighted reforestation along the right of way (ROW) toll road. According to Diana, it is important that on the right side the toll road is planted with trees to keep going green.

"If the aesthetics are regularly better. If you look for plants that are useful, you can harvest them first, check the matching of the soil," he concluded.
