Erick Thohir Considers Perum Damri Until Peruri Becomes PT
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir considers Damri's general company (Perum) to Perum Peruri to change its status to a limited company (PT).
This is in line with the plan to include all SOEs in the management of the Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara).
Perum Peruri, we are discussing what we want to be. Perum Damri, this is all studied. It will take time, "said Erick at the BUMN Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, March 14.
Erick said the merger process, closing and changing business models is now much faster in line with the issuance of Law (UU) Number 1 of 2025 concerning the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs.
For example, continued Erick, the case of disbanding PT Pembangunan Armada Niaga Nasional (PT PANN) which was carried out in October 2024.
He said the company could finally be closed after a long review process.
"If you remember when I reviewed PANN, yesterday it could only be closed, October it was PT PANN. It took a long time. Now we have that flexibility. This is what we are now with this law, we can accelerate it," he said.

Erick said that the current Perum BUMN could be changed to PT. Even so, he continued, his party also opened up opportunities for the transfer of Perum to other ministries.
"Well, in the PP Inberg that is being prepared, one of which is that we are entering a clause called Perum. Because I ask for time that these formulas will later be used as PT or Perum, later they can also be spin-off to ministries in need," he said.
