Jorge Martin Tries To Recover Fast To Compete With Ducati Quartet
JAKARTA - The defending MotoGP champion, Jorge Martin, is certain to be absent for much longer in the 2025 series. The Aprilia Racing racer stated that he would not participate in competing in the MotoGP between Argentina and the United States.
The statement was made by Jorge Martin himself during a press conference ahead of the 2025 Argentine MotoGP which will take place on March 14-16, 2025.
Even so, he emphasized that he tried to recover on time to compete on the track currently controlled by the Ducati rider.
"I'm very happy to join you here at the press conference. Halo Pecco (Francesco Bagnaia), Marc (Marquez), and Alex (Alex Marquez)."
"Here I really suffer, this is not the right time (to return to racing). I'm struggling to recover as quickly as I can," Jorge Martin said during a virtual press conference quoted from Crash on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Jorge Martin was forced to miss the start of the 2025 MotoGP season after having an accident during training in Spain ahead of the opening series for Thailand's MotoGP. The 27-year-old racer even had to undergo surgery.
In fact, during an official exercise in Sepang, Martin also experienced an accident that made him have to return to Spain for surgery.
"I can say now that I will not be at Austin (United States MotoGP)."
"I want to be there, but I won't be racing. I don't know if I can do it in the Qatar MotoGP (fourth season). I don't know yet, it's still very early to confirm it," Martin said.
Although it has been confirmed that he cannot go directly on the track in the next two series, Martin still supports Aprilia who must fight without him.
He even joked that his absence in the first three series would make racing feel boring.
"I support Aprilia, hopefully they can develop more and approach the podium. It's a bit boring without me on track, but I hope they can perform great this weekend."
"I'm going to watch from home and I'm sure I'll enjoy the race!" said Martin again.
