Not Only Ifan Seventeen, Erick Had Proposed Another Name To Be President Director Of PFN

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir confirmed that Riefian Fajarsyah alias Ifan Seventeen is not the sole candidate for President Director (Managing Director) of PT Film Negara (PFN).

Furthermore, Erick explained, he had also proposed other names to lead the company.

"Yes, there are some. Only the process from the TPA (End Appraisal Team) yesterday was like that, so we propose several names," said Erick at the BUMN Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, March 14.

However, continued Erick, after going through the selection process, it was finally decided by Ifan Seventeen who was given the opportunity to lead PFN.

"This is a choice that at that time was seen at various perspectives, so given the opportunity," said Erick.

Furthermore, Erick said there was a reason why PFN people not only came from the film world, but also music.

"Why are there film people recruited, there are music people, including the Pustaka Hall, which is also part of history that will be consolidated," he said.

Erick said this is the initial stage of consolidating PFN with BUMN Lokananta and PT Balai Pustaka (Persero).

Therefore, continued Erick, Ifan, who came from the music world, was chosen to lead PFN.

For your information, Lokananta is the first music studio in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Balai Pustaka is a state-owned company engaged in the creative industry by producing films, digital comics, and games.

"Why are there film people recruited, there are music people, including the Pustaka Hall, which is also part of history that will be consolidated," said Erick.

"So wait for the time, because this study is in process, management has been formed, the assets are also good, there is PFN. Now, this consolidates the print, sound, images held by the government under BUMN to become a unit. So it is also in line with the consolidation of SOEs," he continued.
