Kejari Sets The Third Suspect For Alleged Corruption In The Central Lombok Mount Tunak Nature Tourism Park Project

The Prosecutor's Office detained a contractor with the initials FS after being named a suspect in the alleged corruption of a road project to the Mount Tunak Nature Tourism Park in Central Lombok Regency at the PUPR Office of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province for the 2017 fiscal year.

"We have detained the suspect with the initials FS related to alleged irregularities in the construction work of the access road for the Mount Tunak Nature Tourism Park in Central Lombok Regency at the PUPR Office of West Nusa Tenggara Province for the 2017 fiscal year," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Central Lombok District Attorney I Made Juri Imanu in Central Lombok, Friday, March 14, confiscated by Antara.

The suspect FS has been summoned by investigators several times to provide testimony as a witness in the investigation of the case.

After being re-examined as a witness this Friday, FS was later named a suspect and immediately detained at the Class II A Penitentiary (Lapas) in West Lombok.

The FS suspect had previously been named a suspect and detained, but he submitted a pretrial application in 2023.

In the case of alleged corruption in the road project to the Mount Tunak Nature Tourism Park, the Kejari has named two suspects besides FS, namely SU as PPK (commitment-making official), and MNR as supervisory consultant.

"The suspect SU is currently on the wanted list (DPO) and is in the process of being searched by investigators, and has been denied the person concerned," he said.

Meanwhile, the suspect MNR has been detained at the Class II A Prison in West Lombok since March 5, 2025.

At the end of 2024, the suspect FS filed a state administrative lawsuit against the report on the results of the examination issued by the NTB Provincial Inspectorate.

The lawsuit was originally addressed to the NTB Provincial Inspectorate as the defendant who appointed the state attorney (JPN) for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, but the lawsuit was withdrawn and filed a lawsuit again at the TUN Court which was filed directly against the Central Lombok District Attorney.

The Head of the Central Lombok District Attorney's Office appointed the Central Lombok District Attorney's JPN as a lawyer.

In the lawsuit process, JPN argued that the results of the calculation of state financial losses issued by the NTB Provincial Inspectorate were not the decisions of the TUN as stipulated in Article 2 letter d of Law Number 5 of 1986 as amended several times.

Finally, with Law Number 51 of 2009 concerning the State Administrative Court, the panel of judges at the TUN Court in the dismissal process stated that the FS lawsuit could not be accepted as stated in the Decision of the Mataram State Administrative Court Number: 31/G/TF/2024/PTUN.MTR dated December 31, 2024.

"The detention of the suspect with the initials FS is a form of commitment from the Central Lombok District Attorney in eradicating corruption and realizing certainty of the legal process as it is in line with the seventh asta program," he said.

In handling this case, the Central Lombok Kejari has pocketed the results of the audit of calculating state financial losses from the NTB Inspectorate with a value of Rp333 million. Based on the audit results, the value of losses arises from work shortages.

The road project to Mount Tunak TWA was built in 2017. The construction was carried out through the budget of the NTB Provincial PUPR Service worth IDR 3 billion.

However, the road collapsed after a temporary handover of work from implementing partners from PT Indomine Utama to the government. The damaged road condition is estimated to be one kilometer long.

Based on these findings, the prosecutor conducted an investigation by finding indications of a lack of specifications and work volume.
