Indonesia Has A Large Domestic Market So The Reason For The Visit Of The Secretary General Of The Vietnam Communist Party
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that the visit of the Secretary-General of the Vietnam Communist Party To Lam to Indonesia was because Indonesia had a large domestic market.
"But he still wants to go to Indonesia. I asked why? He said Indonesia has a domestic market," he said in the 2025 Eid Discount Development, Friday, March 14.
Airlangga said that Indonesia has a domestic market share of 52 percent or if converted to US$670 billion, therefore, the government continues to maintain people's purchasing power.
"So this is the market that must continue to be maintained for purchasing power. Now indeed the government maintains people's purchasing power, one of which is to provide various programs," he said.
Airlangga said that in maintaining people's purchasing power, the government provided various programs, including the holiday allowance (THR), the 13th salary for civil servants/TNI/Polri, the provision of holiday bonuses for active online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol), the distribution of aircraft discounts ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2025 reached 13-14 percent, and a 20 percent toll rate discount during the Eid period.
