Hasto Calls Delegation Of His Case Forced, Accuses KPK Of Violating Human Rights
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) forced the transfer process for phase two or P21. In fact, it violates the rights of suspects who are considered to be gross violations of human rights (HAM).
This statement was made by Hasto before undergoing the first trial of the alleged interim bribery case (PAW) for members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation.
"That the P21 process is also too forced, as a suspect we have submitted a mitigating witness, but the witness whose name has been sent to the KPK has never been examined," Hasto told reporters at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Friday, March 14.
The impression that the delegation was forced was also very visible because it was carried out when the PDIP Secretary General was sick. However, the KPK seemed not to care about the health of the suspect and continued to carry out the P21 process.
"At the time of P21 I was also in a state of sore throat inflammation and stomach cramps due to being too enthusiastic about exercising, but even then it was forced so that the rights as defendants had been deliberately violated and this was a very serious human rights violation," he said.
In addition, generally the delegation process or P21 lasts for four months. However, in the case less than two weeks.
According to Hasto, this was done by the KPK to avoid the trial of the pretrial volume two which took place at the South Jakarta District Court.
"The P21 process at the KPK averaged 120 days, but I was deliberately accelerated for only about 2 weeks, why? Because to abort the second pretrial process," said Hasto.
Hasto Kristiyanto is known to have been named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the alleged bribery case between time and time (PAW) that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku.
