Hyundai Motor Group Rajai Safety Award IIHS 2025, Win 12 Awards!
Hyundai Motor Group has again proven itself as a leader in automotive safety. In a recent announcement from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the United States, this automotive group won a total of 12 TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) and TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) awards for models from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis.
This figure is the largest compared to other automotive manufacturers, covering 25 percent of the total awards awarded in 2025.
Tighter IIHS Testing Criteria
For 2025, IIHS updated its TSP and TSP+ award criteria, with a greater emphasis on second-line passenger protection. Testing now requires advanced seat belt technology and other safety innovations to get high scores. Further updates to testing methods and standards have improved already high benchmarks for consideration, so that only 48 models qualify for this year's award, compared to 71 at the same time last year.
The assessment criteria include a small and moderate front overlap hit test, side clashes, and collision prevention, as well as pedestrian safety measures and new and tighter rear passenger safety standards.

Hyundai Motor and Genesis won five awards each, while Kia earned two, highlighting the incredible safety standards embedded in Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles as part of the group's overall mission to provide customers with uncompromising safety and quality levels.

"This result confirms our dedication to safety leadership for 2025 and beyond," he added.
