First Trial, Hasto Kubu Hopes To Be Fair Without Intervention
This statement was made by a member of the legal team, Hasto Kristiyanto, Febri Diansyah ahead of the inaugural trial of the alleged bribery and obstruction of the investigation.
"We hope that after this case is transferred to court, the process can run fairly, fairly and independently. So that there is no intervention from any party. We also hope that the process in this court will also be an education for the public," said Febri in a written statement, Friday, March 14.
It is said that Hasto's legal team will examine all charges made by the public prosecutor (JPU) to his client. Of course with strong evidence and witnesses.
"The Legal Advisory Team will test every accusation submitted by the Public Prosecutor as well as the evidence presented at the trial," he said.
So far, the legal team has studied Hasto Kristiyanto's case files thoroughly. In it, there are statements of dozens of witnesses who have been examined in the case that has been decided.
"Based on initial identification, there were around 60 witnesses and 20 experts whose statements have been taken at the investigation stage," said Febri.
"Most of the witnesses examined were witnesses who had given testimony to two previous cases, which have now been decided on a court decision with permanent legal force," he continued.
