Ariel Tatum Had A Doubt To Play Asih's Character In La Tahzan's Film
JAKARTA - Ariel Tatum shared his experiences and challenges when he accepted the offer to play Asih's character in the La Tahzan film project. He admitted that he had questioned his readiness because the role was so challenging and complex.
"Not thinking twice, but like are you sure? This is a very challenging and complex to play, controversial," said Ariel Tatum in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 13.
This talented actress revealed that Asih's character was offered directly by Manoj Punjabi, the producer of the film. When he first read the script, Ariel was surprised by the depth of the character he had to play.
"When Pak Manoj offered this Asih character to me, I really remember saying 'this character is for you' I was like 'such an honor', I read the script 'what? What do you mean?' But positive, yes, there are indeed many complex layer characters that can be explored," he continued.
To explore Asih's character, Ariel admitted that it took quite a long time. However, he further highlighted the intensity of the process he was undergoing than the duration of the time needed.
"It took a long time (to explore the character of Asih), but yes, I think it was more about the intensity when studying Asih's character," said Ariel Tatum.

Chemistry between actors is also one of the things they built together before filming started.
"And we have enough time to talk in deep with Pak Manoj, how about we build chemistry together," he said.
