Kapolda Leads The Eradication Of Hundreds Of Bottles Of Alcohol And Narcotics Billions Of Rupiah

TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan Police destroyed hundreds of bottles of illegal liquor (alcohol) and evidence of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills.

The illegal goods worth billions of rupiah were the result of a concentrated operation which was held from February 10 to March 1.

Kaltara Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto revealed, from Kayan 2025's concentrated operation, the police confiscated 907 bottles of illegal alcohol from 26 brands.

A total of 117 bottles were set aside as samples for the trial, and 790 bottles were destroyed.

"This destruction is also part of the results of the disclosure of narcotics cases during the New Year's Eve period to the holy month of Ramadan," said Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto, Thursday, March 13.

The Regional Police Chief explained that the Police and Polresta also destroyed alcohol and narcotics evidence from seven police reports with seven male suspects and one female suspect.

"The evidence that was destroyed included crystal methamphetamine weighing 4,530.26 grams, 4.19 grams of ecstasy, and 1.24 grams of marijuana. Some of the evidence has been set aside for laboratory and trial purposes," said the Kapolda.

"Of the seven police reports, we managed to secure 4.544.76 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 4.2 grams of ecstasy, and 1.3 grams of marijuana. Part of it was set aside for laboratory purposes, and the rest were destroyed," he continued.

The Regional Police Chief explained that the total value of the destroyed narcotics evidence was estimated at Rp9 billion.

If the goods are consumed by the public, we can manage to save 90 thousand people who are not victims. The value of this evidence reaches Rp. 9 billion," he explained.

Kapolda appealed to the public to be more active in reporting the circulation of alcohol and drugs in the surrounding environment. He also asked parents and educators to provide understanding to children about the dangers of alcohol and drugs

"We ask for public support to actively report suspicious activities, especially the circulation of alcohol and drugs in Kaltara," he said.
