Update On COVID-19 As Of April 25: New Cases Of 4,402, Healed 3,804 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. The total cumulative cases totaled 1,641,194 people since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 4,402 people.

While cases recovered today increased by 3,804 people so that a total of 1,496,126 people recovered. Meanwhile, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 94 people and a total of 44,594 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 896 new cases and a total of 405,063 cases. DKI is the province with the most COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Then, West Java with 683 cases, and the total cases reached 274,448.

Then, followed by Riau with 404 new cases and the total cumulative cases reaching 41,701, Bangka Belitung 263 new cases, with a total of cases reaching 12,468. Then, Central Java with 247 new cases and a total of 182,027 cases.

It was also reported that 9 provinces reported the addition of new cases under 10, namely Maluku, Southeast Sulawesi 2 cases. Then, West Papua and West Nusa Tenggara 3 cases each. North Maluku 5 cases, and West Sulawesi 6 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 962 recovered cases. Following West Java with an increase of 397 cases. Then, followed by Central Java with 312 cases, and DI Yogyakarta with 251 cases.

"For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 67,312 people", he said.

Then, the weekly people's positivity rate from April 18 to 24, 2021 is 18.20 percent. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was 18.30 percent.

Currently, 34,338 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the total is 11,733,923 people, and the second vaccination is 37,710 people, a cumulative total of 6,822,304 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination is 40,349,049 people.
