Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief: Homecomers Can Leave Vehicles At The Nearest Police
Central Jakarta Metro Police opened free motorbike storage for residents of Central Jakarta who want to go home for Lebaran 2025. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, said that residents who were going home could also leave their motorbikes at the local police station.
"Yes, it has become an annual program. Please. Later the police will also accommodate it. We will also try to accommodate the Resort Police later," said Kombes Susatyo to reporters, Thursday, March 13.
Kombes Susatyo explained that motorcycle storage at the Resort Police and Polsek will be opened to travelers along with Operation Ketupat 2025.
"Later, after Operation Ketupat takes place. Usually, Operation Ketupat will start," he said.
In addition, Kombes Susatyo also appealed to residents of Central Jakarta who returned home to inspect electricity in their respective homes. This is done to anticipate an electrical short circuit that can cause a fire.

"We urge you when going home later, re-examine the electrical installation at home. Do not let there be a potential short circuit that can trigger a fire," he said.
During Ramadan, the Police Chief also asked residents to be more alert to potential fires.
"This is a vulnerable sahur time. Women often turn on the stove, then leave to sleep. Well, it can cause a fire," he said.
The police chief also stated that his party would intensify patrols in residential areas to anticipate theft in empty houses (rumsong) left behind by their residents.
"We will intensify the patrols. Not only anticipate clumps, but also various other potential crimes," he concluded.
