Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Claims The National Police Chief Will Take Firm Action Against The Former Ngada Police Chief

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan stated that National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirmed that he would take firm action against former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman.

The middle officer (pamen) of the National Police was involved in cases of alleged sexual violence against children and narcotics.

"The National Police Chief has immediately announced that there will be firm action against the person concerned," said Budi Gunawan to reporters, Thursday, March 13.

At that time, the case of AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman was under the handling of the Police Propam Division. It is ensured that the sanctions and actions applied will be fair and in accordance with the rules.

"The Ngada Police Chief has already been processed and has been handled by the National Police Propam, then we from Kompolnas have also dispatched a team, so please wait for the process," said Budi Gunawan.

AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja, who is suspected of being involved in drug and immoral cases, was removed from his position as the Ngada Police Chief, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police.

The removal of the position was stated in the telegram letter (ST) of the National Police Chief numbered ST/489/III/KEP./2025 signed by Irwasum Polri Komjen Pol. Dedi Prasetyo dated March 12, 2025.

"AKBP Fajar was transferred to Pamen Yanma Polri," quoted based on a copy of the telegram letter.

AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja was arrested by the Police Propam Division on suspicion of drug and immoral cases.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Henry Novika Chandra, confirmed that AKBP Fajar was arrested on February 20 in Kupang, NTT.

On Tuesday (11/3), the NTT Police said that they had examined nine witnesses related to the alleged immoral case or sexual abuse allegedly committed by AKBP Fajar in Kupang, NTT.

Of the several witnesses examined, one of them was a woman with the initials F who supplied a minor who was ordered by Fajar. The incident occurred in June 2024.

F was then paid Rp. 3 million because he had succeeded in bringing the child to the Ngada Police Chief, who was known to have ordered a hotel room in Kupang.

Meanwhile, regarding the use of drugs, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the NTT Police, Kombes Patar Silalahi, said that from a series of investigations carried out, the examination process did not lead to the drug case allegedly being used by Fajar.
