"Users can access real-time KRL Commuter Line data via Google Maps on smartphones and other devices," explained Google Indonesia in its statement, Sunday (9/3/2025).

The technology company from the United States explained that if the KRL Commuter Line route is available, real-time time information will be clearly shown in the search results.

"This integration allows users to monitor train movements directly, so that travel is more planned and efficient, especially for those who are active in urban areas during the month of Ramadan," continued Google Indonesia.

Users can also see firsthand the position of the train to be used. Strategic Partnerships Development Manager of Google Maps Indonesia, Galuh Rohmah explained that this information will also display a schedule and how long the train will arrive at the stations that users visit.

"In Google Maps, starting this holy month, friends can see real-time information. What kind of real-time is it? You can see where the trains are now," explained Galuh at the Google Friends of Ramadan event in Jakarta, Thursday (6/3/2025).

"The second is not only the schedule, but we can also provide information on how long the train will arrive at our station. If there is a delay, how long will it take? And even if the train is too fast, we will also be given information too soon", he concluded.

This new feature arises from the results of collaboration with PT KCI. He hopes that this information can make Maps user travel more effective.
