Starting The Year Positively, BYD Indonesia Records More Than 3,400 Sales In Two Months

JAKARTA BYD in Indonesia started in 2025 with positive achievements. Together with the premium sub-brand of Denza, this Chinese manufacturer managed to record sales of more than 3,400 units in the first two months of this year.

With this figure, BYD confirmed its position as the best-selling electric vehicle brand in Indonesia. This positive trend also reflects the significant growth of the electric vehicle segment, although the overall automotive market is experiencing a slowdown.

President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, stated that consumer confidence and enthusiasm are the main factors that encourage BYD Group to continue to innovate. This achievement is further strengthened by the presence of BYD and Denza at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, where both brands managed to record more than 2,400 vehicle orders and won various prestigious awards.

This positive acceptance allows us to maintain our position as the number one electric vehicle brand in Indonesia. This also shows an increasing public awareness of electric cars as a solution to future mobility," Eagle Zhao said when met in Central Jakarta.

He added that the growing electric vehicle ecosystem, including incentive support from the government, further strengthens BYD's commitment to providing innovation and a more efficient, comfortable, and sustainable driving experience for Indonesian consumers.

Currently, BYD has a variety of mainstay models that are ready to meet various mobility needs. MPV electricity M6 is an attractive option, while the latest model Sealion 7 has successfully stolen the attention at IIMS 2025. Not to forget, sub-brand Denza also offers MPV premium D9 electricity at competitive prices, below IDR 1 billion.

With this achievement, BYD further confirmed its existence as a major player in the Indonesian electric vehicle market.
