Launching Later This Year, BMW IX3 Successfully Completes Testing In Africa's Heat
JAKARTA - The launch of the latest BMW iX3 is just counting the moon. This model will mark a new era from BMW as well as the first car to adopt the design and technology language of the Neue Classe concept.
Approaching its launch at the end of this year, BMW has tested the car in various areas and conditions. Most recently, the crossover completed testing in hot weather in South Africa.
Launching from Autocar, Wednesday, March 12, this car is seen crossing the sandy desert and asphalt with the hot weather typical of the African continent. It said this would be the end of iX3 testing before entering the production line in the near future.
BMW hasn't set a date yet, but the company has hosted a number of key launches at an automotive show in Munich in recent years. This means September is the right date to launch this one model.
This car was built with the Vision Neue Classe X concept which was present last March with a thicker B pillar along with a more traditional rearview mirror along with a more resilient design.

Unlike the petrol version of X3, iX3 will be equipped with a smaller version of vertical kidney grip than the one on the current BMW model. BMW also retains pillar D design elements with the Hoffmeister Kink element typical of the SUV.
Moving to the back, there is a horizontally wide lighting similar to Vision Neue Classe X. Then, the manufacturer also maintains the roof of the three-quarter glass panorama on iX3 which comes from the concept.
Supported by the advanced Neue Classe architecture, the model will use the 800V system with an estimated distance of 600 km and 800 km with offered on two-wheel drive options and all wheels.
Because it has a variety of advanced technologies, BMW iX3 is claimed to be capable of fast charging and can accommodate a battery of 20 percent more energy-intensive than currently offered. Thus, the system can increase its reach by 30 percent and efficiency reaches 20 percent.
