The Father Of Cabuli Putri Kandung Balita In Balikpapan Becomes A Suspect
BALIKPAPAN - A father with the initials FR (29) in Balikpapan City has been named a suspect in the East Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) for molesting a two-year-old biological daughter.
"The determination of the suspect took a long time, after a report from the victim's biological mother in October 2024 due to many difficulties," explained the Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Police, Police Commissioner Yuliyanto, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 12.
The difficulty in determining the suspect was very much because the victim was a two-year-old child so that the handling seemed slow, he continued, but actually the investigator carried out a marathon investigation of the case.
East Kalimantan Police investigators named FR as the victim's biological father as a suspect after going through a series of investigations involving various parties including forensic doctors, clinical psychology and forensic psychology associations.
"Based on the communication tools of the victim's parents from the analysis of communication tools in the case title, it was concluded that the suspect was FR, the victim's father," he said.
"The action carried out by FR included his finger in the victim's genitals, resulting in a torn wound to the hymen of the victim," he added.
Subdit IV Reknata Ditreskrimum Polda Kaltim held seven meetings including clinical psychology, forensic psychology associations, and forensic doctors before naming FR as a suspect.
The East Kalimantan Regional Police are also collaborating with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) to conduct forensic tests along with witnesses and related parties.
Then with the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) PPPA of Balikpapan City to be conducted clinical trials of seven assessments. and forensic tests along with witnesses and related parties.

The post-mortem was carried out by a forensic doctor at the Kanudjoso Djatiwibowo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Balikpapan City, and coordinated with general criminal law experts.
"Investigators also asked for information from five witnesses, then conducted several case titles and finally FR, the victim's biological father, was named a suspect," said Yulianto.
