Harley-Davidson Introduces CVO Road Glide RR Limited To 131 Units, Take A Peek At The Excess

JAKARTA - Two-wheeled manufacturer from the United States (US), Harley-Davidson offers a motor that focuses on racing but is legal on the highway by introducing CVO Road Glide RR.

Launching from MotorcycleNews, Wednesday, March 12, the motorbike is available on a limited basis of only 131 models with a price tag of 110,000 US dollars or equivalent to IDR 1.810 billion.

Chairman, CEO, and President of Harley-Davidson, Jochen Zeitz said this motorbike took inspiration from the racing arena and his party managed to apply it to the CVO Road Glide RR for road needs.

"With this limited motorcycle series, we have learned all from the race track and created the best legal performance on the highway," Zietz said.

This bike does not experience any significant or fixed design changes just like its standard Road Glide. However, Harley-Davidson designed this bike by focusing on improved performances like racing bikes.

The Road Glide RR is equipped with a CNC-ported cylindrical head with a CNC combustion chamber and engine port located between various internal modifications of the engine.

According to the manufacturer, the motor has a total weight of up to 340.2 kg and is said to have been cut by 22.7 kg compared to the standard CVO Road Glide ST as a whole.

Since the bike can be used for highways, Harley-Davidson completes the CVO Road Glide RR with a variety of equipment that is oriented to driver comfort such as internal speakers and colored TFT screens.

The performance is supported by a set of front Kaliperse Brembo GP4-RX and T-Drive front disk with a front fork suspension from Ohlins FGR 253 Hypersport Superbike 43 mm and double shock.

According to the manufacturer, this one motorcycle is equipped with a new swingarm billet that can cut weight and increase stiffness by 10 percent.

Treating the CVO Road Glide RR is an engine with a capacity of 2,147 cc Screamin Eagle 131 V-Twin which is claimed to have a peak torque of 204.1 Nm at 4,750 rpm.
