BALI - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that the National Police would give their best in the search for the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine that was lost in Bali waters. Currently, the National Police has deployed several equipment and ships to support the search effort.

"We, the big family of the Police, express our deepest concern regarding this incident," he said.
He said the 4 ships belonging to Polairud that were deployed were KP Gelatik-5016, KP Enggang-4016, KP Barata-8004 and KP Balam-4017. The four ships are equipped with search robots, namely the ROV or underwater drones.
"On this occasion we always try to continue to do what we can, with all the available efforts we will deploy 4 units of ships, wrenches, barata, balam, and enggang, which of course we send to help in the search," he added. .
Not only lowering ships, drones and supporting equipment to search for the KRI Nanggala, Sigit said that his party is also ready to prepare a Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes) if it is needed later.
The status of KRI Nanggala-402 from the sub-missed phase, aka lost contact, is now a subsunk or sinking phase. This phase enhances based on a number of findings during the search process.
A number of fragments of the KRI Nanggala-402 component were found during the search. Starting from the torpedo component parts to the base used by the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine to pray.
“Some of the last items (at the location) of the dive boat were found which are believed to be parts or components of the submarine. This will not be lifted to the outside if there is no pressure, "said Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Yudo Margono
These items were confirmed to belong to the KRI Nanggala-402 after being checked by an expert, the former crew of the German submarine.
"From the experts, it is believed that the former ABK KRI Nanggala belonged to the KRI Nanggala," he said.
The fragments of this component are suspected to be due to the pressure experienced by the submarine KRI Nanggala-402. KSAL confirmed, this debris occurred because of a crack, not an explosion.
“A rift, not an explosion. If the explosion would have all disappeared, due to gradual cracking in certain parts, when he (KRI Nanggala-402) descended, there were phases starting from a depth of 300-500. There are phases of cracks because if an explosion will definitely be heard, it will not be an explosion but rather a crack, "said KSAL.
