Luhut Pandjaitan's Message To UNS Graduates: I Ask You Integrity Is Very Important

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan asked the graduates of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) not to be stingy in sharing their knowledge with the wider community.

"The importance of UNS graduates to have the courage to share the knowledge they have learned in college is to build and advance the Indonesian nation," he said at the UNS Period II Online Graduation Ceremony in Solo as quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 24.

One of the knowledge that the community needs to know, continued Luhut, is about digitization. In fact, digitalization has penetrated all aspects of human life and has become the prima donna of investments supported by big data and the latest technological advances.

"The government is aiming there now (digitization). All aspects of our lives are touched by technology. The sophistication of this technology, apart from providing convenience and providing opportunities for society and digitalization, has become the prima donna of investment and industry," said Luhut.

He invited UNS graduates to be able to make real contributions, take advantage of technology, create jobs, and produce many innovations, so that they could answer the needs of society.

"I met a lot of brilliant young people and I talked to the Chancellor about this as well. I also want to invite selected children from UNS to be in the environment of the Coordinating Ministry for Marves to share their knowledge so that they can see how Indonesia is progressing rapidly," added Luhut.

Another message that was conveyed by Luhut to UNS graduates was the importance of working with heart and having good character. Both of these, according to him, must be supported by awareness to provide benefits for others.

Moreover, he continued, currently not a few young Indonesians have the ability to build the country, but they do not have good character.

"If you do not have a good character, you do not have a clean heart, you do not have the desire to help other people regardless of ethnicity, religion, and all kinds, you are not maximally entering the gifts God has given you. I entrust it to all of you. very very important in your life, "he said.
