Update On COVID-19 As Of April 24: New Cases Of 4,544, Heal, Increasing To 4,953
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 67,751 specimens were examined with the results of 4,544 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1,636,792 people and active cases rose to 99,970 cases," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Saturday, April 24.
Cases recovered today increased by 4,953 cases, so that a total of 1,492,322 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 154 people and a total of 44,500 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 907 cases, bringing the total to 404,167. Followed by West Java which has 630 new cases with a total of 273,765 cases. Riau has 421 new cases and a total of 41,297 cases. Then, Central Java has 317 new cases and a total of 181,780 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 990 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 885 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 618 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 262 recovered cases.
There are two provinces that reported no new cases as of today. The provinces that reported zero new cases were West Nusa Tenggara and Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 14,221,892.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate was 18.20 percent," he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 66,377 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
To date, 11,699,585 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 6,784,594 vaccines in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
