BMW Vs Motorcyclist Accident Witness In Tangerang: High School Student Can't Escape, Shocks His Friend

TANGERANG - An accident involving a BMW car driven by a high school student with the initials KVP (16) with a motorcyclist with the initials AM (37) shocked residents in the Buaran Indah area, Tangerang City. The incident occurred on Monday, March 10, at around 20.00 WIB, in front of Warung Mamah Fadil.

According to Yani (60), the shop owner at the scene, the accident occurred when a BMW driven by KVP drove at high speed and hit an AM motorcyclist and was dragged about 10 meters.

"The victim was dragged, then the sheet was released. About 10 meters, the wound was severe on the head," Yani said when met at the location on Tuesday, March 11.

Yani said that KVP, who is a high school student, did not run away after the accident. He just stayed there in a state of shock.

"He was silent on the spot, didn't run away, he looked shocked. Maybe also because the victim was in the middle of the road, he was afraid of being run over. Anyway, stay in the same place as his friends," said Yani.

Yani added that the students in the car had seen from behind the glass for about 30 minutes before finally getting out of the car.

They initially looked at the glass. Then when they got out, the first thing they saw was the car, then they saw the victim. It seems they are more worried about the damage to the car," he explained.

Residents then arrived at the scene, followed by the arrival of the police who immediately evacuated the victim to the hospital, while the perpetrator and his friends were taken to the Tangerang City Metro Police.

"Residents were immediately crowded, not long after the police arrived. They immediately asked here and then the perpetrator was taken," said Yani.

Yani also revealed that the area is often the location of accidents because the road allows vehicles to travel quickly.

Cause Of Accident: Driver Hasn't Beenampled

The police revealed that the accident was caused by the lack of skilledness of KVP in driving a car. This is because he is a minor and does not have a driving license (SIM).

"I don't think he is skilled, because he is still a minor," said the Head of the Tangerang City Metro Police Laka, AKP Badruzzaman, when confirmed on Tuesday, March 11.

According to Badruzzaman, KVP is still 16 years old and does not yet have a driver's license. The police also confirmed that the perpetrator was not influenced by alcohol based on the results of urine tests carried out.

It was explained that the accident occurred when KVP and its friends who came home from school from Harapan Bangsa Modernland, Cipondoh, Tangerang City, crossed the JKC Toll Road by car.

"So (the student) was drunk or not. He came home from school from Harapan Bangsa School in Modernland (Kota Tangerang), went home three days in the car, still wore school clothes. We have also done a urine test, the results were negative," explained Badruzzaman.

Currently, the accident case is under further investigation by the Tangerang City Metro Police.
