Witness Statement So The Reason For The KPK To Search Ridwan Kamil's House Regarding Allegations Of Corruption Bank BJB
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has searched the homes of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil regarding the alleged corruption of PT Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (BJBR) on Monday, March 10. This forced effort was carried out after investigators pocketed witness statements.
"Based on witness testimony, it is necessary to search to ensure whether there is a connection with the case," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, March 11.
This search, continued Setyo, was also carried out to find evidence of alleged corruption that was being investigated. However, he has not detailed the results.
Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika said the search was not only targeting Ridwan Kamil's house. Investigators also visited a number of other locations, although they had not been further detailed.
"For the places it cannot be conveyed at this time. Because there are still several locations that take place," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, March 10.
Previously reported, the KPK has issued an investigation warrant (sprindik) to investigate allegations of corruption within the West Java and Banten Regional Development Banks (BJB). Five people have been named as suspects because they are suspected of causing state losses.
"The article suspected of Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 is related to the procurement of goods or services at Bank BJB," said a VOI source who was delivered on Wednesday, March 5 evening.
These suspects are suspected of having harmed the state's finances by hundreds of billions. However, the exact number cannot be conveyed.

The same source also said that the KPK had asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent the five suspects from leaving the country for six months. Two of them are internal Bank BJB while the rest are private.
This effort is being made to facilitate the investigation process. The prohibition of traveling abroad can usually be extended as needed.
