Cyber Attack That Made X Down Turns Out To Come From Ukraine
JAKARTA - Platform X experienced periodic disruptions on Monday, March 10, which caused some users to be unable to access the platform for several hours.
According to the Downdetector page, X is experiencing regular disruptions, which limits 39,021 users in the US to access the platform at its peak at 10 am local time.
Then, at around 5 pm, on the page, there was a report in which the service was still inaccessible to about 1,500 other users.
Responding to this problem, owner X Elon Musk admitted that the disturbance was caused by an extraordinary strong cyberattack.
"We are attacked every day, but this is done with a lot of resources. Whether it's a coordinated big group and/or a country involved," Musk said in a post on X.
Musk also said in an interview with Larry Kudlow from Fox Business Network that the cyberattack came from an IP address originating from Ukrainian territory.
