Vivo Y300i Officially Launches In China With Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 And Battery 6500mAh
Vivo officially launched the Y300i, the newest mobile phone from the Y series, in China, this week. As the successor to the Y200i, the device brings some significant improvements, including large-capacity batteries, 5G support, and high-rest rate screens.
Vivo Y300i comes with a 6.68-inch LCD HD + screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The 5MP front camera is located in the hole-punch design.
The kitchen is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 4nm fabrication-based octa-core processor that combines Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPUs, as well as GPU Adreno 613 to handle graphics.
This device is equipped with RAM up to 12GB, which can be expanded virtually up to 24GB. Storage capacity reaches 512GB using UFS 2.2 technology, but without support for microSD slots.
In the camera sector, Vivo Y300i carries a 50MP f/1.8 rear camera with an LED flash, but no ultrawide or other additional sensors are mentioned. For security, a fingerprint scanner is available on the power button.
The phone is supported by a 6500mAh jumbo battery with 44W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device has 5G (SA/NSA), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB-C ports. Unfortunately, Vivo lost the 3.5mm audio jack, but kept the stereo speakers and audio support via USB-C.

The Y300i design is quite sleek for a large battery phone size, with a thickness of 8.09mm 8.19mm and a weight of about 205-206 grams, depending on the color. This phone is available in three color variants: Jade Black, Titanium, and Rime Blue.
The price and availability of Vivo Y300i comes in three variants: 8GB RAM + 256GB CNY 1,499 (~ IDR 3.2 million) 12GB RAM + 256GB CNY 1,599 (~ IDR 3.4 million) 12GB RAM + 512GB CNY 1,799 (~ IDR 3.9 million)
Pre-orders are open today, and sales in China will begin on March 14, 2025. However, there is no information on global availability.
