Donald Trump: US Negotiates With Four Parties Regarding TikTok Sales
JAKARTA - The President of the United States, Donald Trump, revealed on Sunday 9 March that his government was communicating with four different groups regarding the sale of the social media platform from China, TikTok. He also stated that all options were positive.
TikTok's fate remains uncertain since a law requiring its owner, ByteDance, to sell it for national security reasons or face a ban took effect on January 19. After taking office on January 20, Trump signed an executive order delaying the 75-day implementation of the law.
When asked if an agreement related to TikTok would soon be reached, Trump told reporters at Air Force One, "It could happen."

Until now, TikTok and ByteDance have not responded to requests for comment from the media.
The chaos over TikTok has attracted the interest of several potential buyers, including the former owner of Los Angeles totaling Frank McCort, who expressed interest in this fast-growing business. Analysts estimate TikTok's value could reach 50 billion US dollars (Rp817 trillion).
