Perpetrators Of Mother And Child Murder In Toren Air Arrested In Banyumas, Disguised As Tunawism

JAKARTA - In less than 2x24 hours, the West Jakarta Metro Police managed to uncover the case of the murder of a mother and child whose body was found in the water toren of his house in Tambora, West Jakarta. After an investigation was carried out, the police arrested one perpetrator of the murder.

"We have secured one person in the Banyumas area," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung when confirmed, Monday, March 10.

According to AKBP Arfan, the perpetrator was found near a reservoir in the Banyumas area. The condition of the perpetrator resembled the homeless. However, members of the Police still managed to identify him based on information on the characteristics obtained previously. When arrested, the perpetrator did not provide resistance.

"There is no resistance," he said.

Until now, the Police are still investigating this case further, including the motive and complete chronology of the murder.

Previously, the West Jakarta Metro Police confirmed that the case of the discovery of the body of a mother with the initials TSL (59) and her son with the initials ES (35) floating in a water toren was a murder victim.

"We found that at the crime scene there were two people who had become victims of murder," said West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Deputy Chief, AKP Dimitri Mahendra when confirmed, Monday, March 10.

AKP Dimitri said, based on information from R, the victim's son, he last communicated with his mother with the initials TSL on March 1, 2025. However, in the afternoon, his mother could no longer be contacted.

When R came home, he couldn't find his mother and brother. Feeling something was odd, he reported the incident to the Tambora Police on March 3, 2025.
