Prabowo Urges THR For Ojol And Couriers In The Form Of Cash

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto appealed to owners of logistics and online transportation companies to provide holiday bonuses aka Holiday Allowances (THR) in the form of cash.

Prabowo said this decision was the result of the government's negotiations with related companies.

"For this reason, the government urges all service companies to provide holiday bonuses in cash with work activities," Prabowo said at a press conference, Monday, March 10.

Prabowo explained, this year the government pays special attention to online drivers and couriers who have made important contributions and supported transportation and logistics services in Indonesia.

"And we are negotiating with online driver companies, namely brother Patrick Walujo CEO of Gojek and brother Antoni Tan CEO of Grab. And here together we are representatives of online drivers from Gojek and Grab," Prabowo explained.

He added that currently there are 250,000 active online courier driver workers and 1 to 1.5 million who are part time. Later, the amount of this holiday bonus will be announced by the Minister of Manpower, Yasserli through Circular (SE).

"With this policy, online drivers can feel good holidays and homecoming for Eid al-Fitr," said Prabowo.
